1st step pro-wellness review +coupon and fb contest

A while back I was contacted by!st Step Pro Wellness asking if I would like to review their liquid B-12 complex. After doing some research, I decided to give it a whirl.

The product claims to give you energy and make you more healthy without caffeine and stimulants. I was sent the two day pack with two different flavors.  The first one I tried was cherry charge:

I was really worried that it would taste like cough syrup. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't. It was pretty sweet, but not that sickly sweet taste. It was smooth tasting and the recommended half bottle went down just fine.

The next day I tried the tropical blend and it reminded me of drinking a fruit punch. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing, though! I liked this taste as well. Sweet without being over the top and easy to drink.

Did I feel more energized after drinking them? Possibly. It's hard to tell because I still drank coffee those days too. However, I felt more focused during school, a time when I usually feel like I have foggy brain.  I have no idea if it was coincidence or if it really did give me that energy boost to focus and plug along.

Things I liked about it:

-Good taste, none of that overly artificial tasting aftertaste

-More natural than most of the "energy" drinks

-Wasn't loaded with caffeine that gives you that high followed by a major crash

-Easy grab and go way to get some more vitamins.

Things I didn't like:

-I really don't know if it worked or was more of a placebo effect.

-I'm a little on the fence with any sort of drink, especially if people abuse them and take too much.  It's a good idea in theory, but I definitely would be wary of using it all the time without doing a lot more research.

Overall, I liked it and I'm glad I tried it. I would try it again every so often, but I wouldn't use all the time.

Here's a quick fact sheet provided by the company:

They actually have a facebook contest running through monday and you can win a year supply! You simply have to let them know you read about the contest from my blog: fb page.  They also have offered a coupon for all of you, in case you want to try it for yourself:$4 off coupon.

If you're looking for something a little more natural, I definitely suggest you try it for yourself!

-Note: I was sent this product for free, but all thoughts are my own.

Question for you:

-Have you ever tried this product? Thoughts on it?

-Do you drink other energy drinks? If so, which ones?

  1. I'm not sure I see the benefits to drinking this. I don't really drink energy drinks unless it's Gatorade or Nuun for recovery when running.

  2. I took B12 a few years ago and I am not sure if I was really more engergized. I think taking vitamins in general are helpful and make me feel good.

I dont drink energy drinks because I cant stand the taste of them.

  3. I have never tried that product before. I am not too into the energy drinks. They don't really do anything for me. I am just a water and/or Nuun kinda girl.

  4. I was emailed from them too, but since I already take a B12 vitamin I declined. I wasn't sure I would be able to give an objective review. I wonder why they package it in a double dose (i.e. have you drink half the bottle). My vitamin dissolves under the tongue and is also cherry flavoured...and it tastes good!
